Poole is in the record books in many different categories as a member of the King College Basketball team. After playing in 102 career games, he holds single game records multiple times. First, he scored 38 points against Bluefield in 1974-75 which ranks third all time. In the same year against Bluefield he also made 17 field goals while attempting 32 times, both ranking first all time. In 1974-74 against Tusculum, Poole hit 16 of 27 field goals, ranking second and fourth respectively. He tallied 27 attempts in two other games in the 1976 season that rank 5th all time. In 1977, Poole shot 86.6 percent from the field against Bluefield sitting him in 5th all time for a single game.

Pool also sits in the top ten of single season records twice. In 1978 he posted 216 field goals ranking fourth all time and in 1978 he attempted 423 field goals ranking him 6th all time.

Lastly, Poole ranks in the top five of five categories for a career. Topping the list off is field goals made with 798 sitting him in first all time. With 1799 points scored in his career, Poole sits at second in all time scoring. Poole also has claimed fifth all time with a 77.8 free throw percentage. 

Head coach Al Nida was quoted saying "Randy is a great shooter." "He is one of the best in the Volunteer State Conference in all aspects."
