Jack Young coached football and basketball coach at King. During the 1941-1942 season, coach Young guided the basketball team to a conference record of 16-3 placing him and the team in the King record books. Young also won a Smoky Mountain Conference title while leading the basketball program. He led the football team to three of its most successful seasons since the early 1920's and was one of the last football coaches at King.
