Bristol, Tenn. – The King University team took on Keiser University in the second round of the Call of Duty Esports National Championships. The Tornado took victory, winning 3-1 over the Seahawks.
Winning map one Hardpoint 250-149 with a total K/D of 1.45 to secure the first map win. Chase Proffitt, a standout this whole tournament, didn't disappoint, having a ratio of 46:12 K:D in the first game.
Keiser won the second map, Search and Destroy, 6-3 over King. The Tornado was able to bounce back in map three, Control winning 3-1 with a 1.52 K/D. Proffitt and Kirk Rahill were top athletes on the team, having ratios of 29:11 and 19:10, respectively.
The final map was another King victory of 250-94 on Hardpoint. The whole team on this final map came together, having no athlete with a 1 K/D ratio.
The whole team averaged a 1.37 K/D ratio, resulting in a victory in tonight's match.
