King Esports Wins First Match of the 2026 Spring Season

The Tornado COD Team won over Independence Community College in the first spring season match.

Bristol, Tenn. – The King University team took on Independence Community College for the first game of the 2026 spring Call of Duty season, winning 3-0 in dominant fashion. After winning a fall national championship, King is looking to make it four in a row this season, and this is the first step to it.
 
Winning map one Hardpoint 250-105 with a total K/D of 2.12 to secure the first map win. Chase (Chadey) Proffitt helped lead the team on the first map, posting a 3.22 K/D ratio.
 
The second map, Search and Destroy the Tornado, only gave up on point the whole match, having a team K/D ratio of 2.07, winning 6-1. Proffitt again led the team in map two with a K/D of 2.25, with his teammate Moricio (KappanKappa) Castro having a 2.0 K/D ratio.
 
The final map was an overload where King yet again took care of business. They won 7 to 3 over Independence College. Proffitt had another stellar game with a 3.16 K/D ratio, leading the way for the team victory to start the season.
 
The whole team averaged a 2.04 K/D ratio.
