Esports Wins Both COD and Valorant

The Tornado COD Team won over Keiser University in a clean sweep victory, while Valorant battled for their win

Bristol, Tenn. – King University esports teams played in two games tonight, Call of Duty and Valorant. The first game went by in a clean sweep with King winning COD 3-0. In Valorant, King had to battle in a 2-1 victory.
 
Call of Duty:
 
The King University team took on Keiser University in their third match of the 2026 Spring season, winning again 3-0. King keeps their undefeated streak alive going winning their third win in a row.
 
Winning map one Hardpoint in their closest match of the spring, 250-194, with a total team K/D of 1.21 to secure the first map win. Chase Proffitt led the team in the first map with a team-leading K/D of 1.81, dealing a total of 4171 damage. Kirk Rahill was able to help the team through that first match with a total of 12 assists and an elimination streak of six.
 
The second map, Search and Destroy, the Tornado dominated, allowing only one point and had a team K/D of 2.08, winning 6-1. Proffitt again led the team in map two with a K/D of 4.50 and nine eliminations with a perfect team sweep in one match. Moricio Castro was able to be a strong number two guy for the team this game, having an impressive 2.00 K/D, with the longest elimination streak of four in that game.
 
The final map was on overload, where King won cleanly 5-2. The team was able to keep the pressure up with a full team effort as Rahill led the team in assists with 12, Proffitt led the team in eliminations with 43, and Castro led the team in overloads with three.
 
The whole team averaged a 1.51 K/D ratio.

Valorant:
 
The King University Varlont team took on Neumont University in a close battle where King came out with the win. King won in a 2-1 victory.
 
In the first round, King was able to dominate, having three of the top five combat score players across both teams. Cristobel Amiel had the top combat score of 330 with an impressive K/D of 22 to 15. He also helped his team with three first eliminations and a 69 econ rating. Both Matthew Montenegro-Strunk and Carlos Arias had impressive games, with 289 and 252 combined scores, respectively. Strunk was able to have a K/D of 22 to 6, and Arias had a 17 to 12 with seven assists as well. Winning this round 13-6.
 
In the second round, King fell 13-10 to a strong three for Neumont, as they had the three top combat scores. Arias was our top player this round with a combat score of 231 and a 19 to 16 K/D. Strunk again held the second-best player spot for King with a 226 combat score and a 19 to 16
K/D ratio.
 
In the final round, King bounced back with Arias at the helm, leading the team. He finished with an impressive 115 econ rating, 374 combat score, and a K/D of 29 to 14. Strunk was able to keep up the damage with a K/D of 16 to 12 and an amazing nine assists. Amiel was able to break even this round with a 16 to 16 K/D ratio; however drew four first eliminations throughout the match.
