BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University men's swimming team topped nonconference rival Emory & Henry College Friday night, but settled for a split after a 107-83 loss to Lees-McRae College.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The 200 yard medley relay team consisting of Jean Ducastel, Efe Ertuzun, Jacob Sell and Sam Osowiecki started the night with a win, combining for a time of 1:38.45, edging Emory & Henry by one second.
- Sell and Ducastel also finished 1-2 in the 200 yard freestyle, with Sell winning the event with a time of 1:46.48, while Ducastel finished in 1:49.75.
- Ertuzun swam to a win in the 200 yard IM, touching the wall in 1:56.94.
- Sell picked up his second win of the night in the 100 yard butterfly, swimming to a time of 53.28 seconds.
- Ducastel picked up his first win of the night in the 100 yard backstroke, touching the wall in 52.94 seconds.
- Taylor Apps took second in the 1000 yard freestyle, finishing in 10:50.72.
- Ertuzun was second in the 100 yard backstroke, touching the wall in 1:01.32.
- The 200 yard freestyle relay team consisting of Sell, Ducastel, Ertuzun and Osowiecki closed the night with a third-place finish, finishing in 1:30.20.

- The Tornado will swim Wednesday at Converse University, a meet scheduled for a 4 p.m. start.
- Lees-McRae will be at Carson-Newman University Oct. 21.
