MARS HILL, N.C. – The King University men's swimming and diving team traveled to take on Mars Hill University on Saturday. The Tornado were led by Tyler Brewster and Justin Reeves at the event.
Reeves started the day for King by finishing the 200 yard freestyle in 1:55.24. Nicholas Piumelli then turned in a 100 yard breaststroke time of 1:07.21 with Tyler McBee coming in next at 1:17.12. In the 50 yard freestyle, Brewster finished in 23.80 seconds, coming in with three tenths of a second of his personal record. Lucas Marodin also competed in the 50 yard freestyle, and finished with a time of 25.35 seconds.
The 100 yard freestyle featured Jacob Morales who finished with a time of 55.65 seconds and Austin Jameson who came in with a time of 56.76 seconds. Piumelli finished the 200 yard breaststroke with a time of 2:32.77 while Brewster finished the 100 yard butterfly in 58.75 seconds. Also in the 100 yard butterfly, Marodin finished in 1:08.47, and Reeves capped the meet with a personal record 200 yard individual medley time of 2:10.62.
The Tornado will be in action again on Saturday when they travel to Union College (Ky.). The meet is slated to start at 1:00 p.m.
