Tornado compete at Patriot Relays

WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. – The King University men's swimming and diving team competed in the second relay meet in as many weeks. The Tornado swam six relays and took second at the three-team Patriot Relays.

The 200 yard freestyle relay team of Brian Stroinski, Jacob Morales, Lucas Marodin and Tyler Brewster posted a time of 1:38.04 to start the day. The quartet of Nicholas Piumelli, Reynold Thibideau, Quenton Lyons and Justin Reeves finished the 400 yard medley relay with a time of 4:13.69. In the 200 yard butterfly, Marodin, Morales, Austin Jameson and Brewster covered the distance in 1:51.46.

Reeves, Piumelli, Stroinski and Tyler McBee finished the 200 yard breaststroke in 2:03.84 while Brewster, Jameson, Marodin and Reeves finished the 100 yard freestyle in 47.47 seconds. The group of Thibideau, Piumelli, Morales and Stroinski finished the meet with a 200 yard medley relay of 1:49.29.

King will be in action again on October 17 when they host Milligan College at Virginia High. The meet is scheduled to start at 6:00 p.m.
