Three Tornado Earn All-Conference Honors from Conference Carolinas

King University Acrobatics & Tumbling was well-represented on Thursday as three Tornado student-athletes earned spots on the 2026 Conference Carolinas All-Conference Teams, announced ahead of the league championship semifinals. The honors highlight King’s continued growth within one of the nation’s most competitive acrobatics & tumbling conferences.

Bristol, Tenn. — King University Acrobatics & Tumbling was well-represented on Thursday as three Tornado student-athletes earned spots on the 2026 Conference Carolinas All-Conference Teams, announced ahead of the league championship semifinals. The honors highlight King's continued growth within one of the nation's most competitive acrobatics & tumbling conferences.

King's selections included Caroline Etter on the First Team, along with Bridget Sweeney and Anna Sonnichsen on the Second Team, giving the Tornado multiple all-conference honorees for another season.


Etter Earns First-Team Recognition

Junior standout Caroline Etter secured a place on the Conference Carolinas First Team, joining the league's top performers across all event groups. Etter has been a cornerstone of King's lineup throughout the season, contributing in high-difficulty heats and consistently delivering strong scores in acro, pyramid, and toss events. Her selection places her among the elite competitors in the conference.


Sweeney and Sonnichsen Named to Second Team

Two additional Tornado earned recognition on the Second Team, showcasing the depth and talent within King's roster.

Bridget Sweeney — Second Team

Sweeney's versatility and reliability across multiple heats made her one of King's most valuable contributors this season. Her execution in tumbling and pyramid events helped elevate team scores throughout the year.

Anna Sonnichsen — Second Team

Sonnichsen emerged as a key performer in several high-pressure heats, demonstrating strong technique and consistency. Her all-conference nod reflects her impact on King's competitive success and her continued development within the program.


Conference Carolinas Honors the Best in the Sport

This year's all-conference teams featured student-athletes from across the league, including Lander, Coker, Mars Hill, Montevallo, Wingate, Converse, and Belmont Abbey. Awards included Athlete of the Year, Specialist of the Year, Freshman of the Year, and Coach of the Year, along with the full First and Second Teams.

King's three honorees stand among the conference's top performers, representing the program with distinction.
