Esports Final Regular Season Match

The Tornado Call of Duty game splits in the final regular season matches

Bristol, Tenn. – King University esports teams schedule three matches tonight, winning against the University of Northern Iowa in a forfeit for the Valorant team, winning against Iowa State University in a close one 3-1, and falling to Durham College 3-0 in COD.

With a tough first match, the Call of Duty team fell to Durham for their second loss this season. They were swept through the three maps, falling in the first one in a tough defeat. They would lose the next two maps, 8-1 and 6-1.

In the final match of the 2026 regular season, the COD team would get the win in a big way, 3-1. The first map, King would fall in a close map, trailing 250-132. In the second map, going down early again, looking bad for the Tornado, they turned it around, winning 5-5 in overtime.

King would wrap up the final two maps in a clean type of way. With a close win in map three, 5-3, then making a comeback in map four, winning 250-170.

With another win in the regular season, King has a very strong chance to have a good seed in the postseason tournament and go back for the national championship.

Up Next: The Tornado will be looking to continue their season with a run in the national tournament, which will be announced in the coming weeks.
