Bristol, Tenn. – King University esports teams played in just one match tonight, with Valorant being the sole team to earn the 2-0 win over Alabama State University. King had a strong start in game one, winning 13-4, then went on to dominate in game two with an impressive 13-0 win.

In the first game, King and ASU had a hard-fought battle with close rounds, with the Tornado prevailing.
Oliver Toledo Paniagua led the whole lobby in Combat score with a 428 and 27 eliminations on eight deaths.
Matthew Montenegro-Strunk held a strong second to pull through with 22 eliminations of his own and five assists, giving him an average combat score of 359. King won that match 13-4.

In the second game, King refocused and went from a close match to a dominant victory, with every player having a better combat score than the top Alabama State University player. King was only eliminated 13 times in the entire match.
Cristobel Amiel led the team with a combat score of 376, followed by Paniagua with a 314. Those two would combine for 35 eliminations on their own. Strunk would have a 274 combat score for the third best, a K/D of 6.00, and four assists on top of that.
