SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The King University Cheerleading team won the Conference Carolinas Intermediate Grand Championship Saturday afternoon at the Conference Carolinas Spirit Championships.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- King scored a 76.08 out of 90 in a routine that featured eight first year athletes out of 13 competing.
- King won Intermediate Coed division championship as well as the Overall Intermediate Grand Championship.
- This is the second time that King has won the conference championship. The Tornado also won the title in 2022, which was the first year of the conference sponsoring a spirit championship event.
FOR THE FOES
- Chowan and Mount Olive also competed in the Co-Ed Intermediate division, with Chowan scoring 63.33, with Mount Olive scoring 61.50.
