Bristol, Tenn. – King University carried its momentum into the second day of the King Invite, delivering more standout performances and adding to its growing list of school records. The Tornado showcased both speed and resilience, proving once again they are a force in the pool.
Men's 400 Yard Medley Relay – School Record
The day began with a statement victory as the men's
400 Yard Medley Relay team surged to first place. The quartet powered to a winning time of
3:22.22, setting a new
school record and igniting another strong day for King.
Carlos Arias – 50 Yard Breaststroke Record
In the
100 Yard Breaststroke,
Carlos Arias (19) broke the school record in the
50 Yard Breaststroke split, clocking
26.21. Despite finishing second overall in the 100, Arias's record-breaking speed underscored his versatility and continued excellence.
Katie Koenst – 100 Yard Breaststroke Record
On the women's side,
Katie M Koenst (20) delivered a historic swim in the
100 Yard Breaststroke. Her time of
1:06.51 set a new
school record, earning her second place in the event and adding another milestone to King's meet.
Cassie Lowe – 200 Yard Freestyle Champion
Cassie R Lowe (21) continued her winning ways with a first-place finish in the
200 Yard Freestyle. Her performance highlighted her consistency and endurance, further strengthening King's dominance in individual events.
Fabio Ricci – Men's 200 Yard Freestyle Champion
In the men's
200 Yard Freestyle,
Fabio Ricci (18) matched Lowe's success with a commanding first-place finish. His victory added another gold to King's tally and reinforced the team's depth across both genders.
