CHARLESTON, W.V. – The King University men's volleyball team fell to the University of Charleston on Friday evening to open their weekend series, 0-3.
THE BASICS
FINAL SCORE: Charleston 3 – King 0 (25-17, 25-20, 25-11)

HOW IT HAPPENED
First Set
- King scored the first point but the two teams traded points Before Charleston took a 5-3 lead early.
- King tied the game on an ace from Bryce Pickett.
- Alex Barkley had five kills in the opening set, but King fell 25-17.
Second Set
- King found themselves down by four early in the set but a kill from Sean Haberthy started a 4 point run for the Tornado to tie the set at 9.
- Barkley tied the game again at 11 before an attack error from the Golden Eagles gave the Tornado a momentary lead.
- Barkley and Haberthy combined for 5 kills with JP Ribeiro getting all seven assists.
Third Set
- The Golden Eagles started the third set with a 4-0 run before Barkley got King's first points of the set.
- Charleston finished the third set on a 11-1 run.
- Haberthy had one kill and one ace in the final set.
