Rabo promoted to lead cheer and dance programs

BRISTOL, Tenn. – King University Vice President for Athletics David Hicks has promoted Kendra Rabo to the position of head Cheer & Dance coach.

"I'm excited about the vision Kendra has laid out for the future of our cheer and dance programs," Hicks said. "She brings a robust coaching and technical skill set to the program, along with strong leadership skills to compliment her vision and passion for the future of our program and student-athletes."

Rabo, who served as co-interim head coach of the program, came to King in 2023 after being a three-year student-athlete at Frostburg State University. After being a member of the inaugural acrobatics & tumbling team at Frostburg State, she was a three-year member of the Bobcats program.

"I am extremely blessed to be offered the opportunity to take on this new role at King University," Rabo said. "I have always had a strong passion for cheerleading and this position will allow me to share this same passion with our athletes here at King. I have high expectations for the future of this program, and I cannot wait to get started! God has truly blessed me with this opportunity, and I cannot wait to continue spreading his glory throughout my encounters as the Head Cheerleading and Dance Coach."

As a base and a tumbler at Frostburg State, Rabo helped increase the Bobcat win total each season, including a 10-win season in 2023 that saw the Bobcats win the Mountain East Conference. The Bobcats also qualified for the National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Association (NCATA) national championship, falling to second-seed University of Oregon.
