BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University men's volleyball team dropped their Conference Carolinas match Friday night, 3-0 to Erskine College.
THE BASICS

HOW IT HAPPENED
First Set
- After trading points early, King pulled out to an 8-5 lead after scoring three straight points, with Kellan Kennedy getting a kill, along with a block by Grayson Stoudt.
- Erskine pulled even at nine, eventually taking a 15-12 lead after scoring four consecutive points.
- After King got to within 18-15, the Flying Fleet scored five of the next six points, taking a 23-16 lead.
- Erskine eventually took the set, 25-18 after scoring the final two points.
Second Set
- The Flying Fleet took a quick 4-1 lead, but King rallied, tying the score at four.
- From that point, neither team had a lead larger then a 11-9 King lead until Erskine pulled in front 16-13.
- After king pulled even at 20-20, Erskine closed the set by scoring five of the final six points, with the lone King point being a block by Kennedy, as the Flying Fleet took the set 25-21.
Third Set
- The Tornado took an early 3-2 lead, but the Flying Fleet tied the score, starting a sequence where the largest lead was one point.
- After King took a 11-10 lead, Erskine scored seven of the next eight points, taking a 17-12 lead.
- The Flying Fleet reached set point at 24-17, but King scored the next three points to pull to within 24-20 before a King service error ended the set, with Erskine winning 25-20, taking the match 3-0.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Warren Davis finished with 11 kills and seven digs, while Kennedy had eight kills and two solo blocks.
- Aiden Olson had 12 digs, along with a pair of block assists while also handing out 27 assists.
FOR THE FOES
- Aidon Love and Pablo Zamar both had 11 kills for Erskine.
- Francisco Pomar had 34 assists, with Wiktor Ankurowski posting two blocks on the night.

- King will host Emmanuel University Saturday afternoon.
- Erskine will play at Lees-McRae on Saturday.
