BRISTOL, Tenn. –
Bridget Sweeney of the King University Acrobatics & Tumbling team was honored by the National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Association (NCATA) as Honorable Mention Specialist of the Week.
Sweeney, a sophomore from Royersford, Pa., competed in the synchronized pyramid heat as the top, where she scored a 9.9 out of 10. She also competed as the top in the open pyramid helping King to season-high scores in both events. The synchronized pyramid score was within 0.05 of the school record.
The Tornado will return to the floor this weekend, as they will host Converse University Saturday night at 7 p.m. inside the Student Center Complex.
