BRISTOL, Tenn. –
Jessica Campbell of the King University softball team and
Bridget Sweeney of the King University Acrobatics & Tumbling team have both been named Conference Carolinas Players of the Week.
Campbell, a senior from Graysville, Tenn., batted .824 on the week, with three triples, a double and six RBI. She had multiple hits in every game played, going 10-for-11 during the team's Florida trip. March 7 at Embry-Riddle, she had a pair of triples, extending her multi-hit game streak to nine.
Sweeney, a sophomore from Royersford, Pa., competed in the synchronized pyramid heat as the top, where she scored a 9.9/10 with a 270 twist to a straddle on a bridge with a 360 twist dismount. She also competed in the open pyramid heat, both of which were season-highs.
