BRISTOL, Tenn. –
Kolin Miller of the King University men's track and field team and
Caitlin Paulins of the King University women's track and field team have been named to the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) indoor track and field All-Region teams after their performances at the Conference Carolinas Indoor Track and Field Championships.
Miller, a senior from Lebanon, Tenn., marked 16.58 meters at the conference championships in the weight throw, a mark that earned him Second Team All-Conference honors. This is his first all-region honor for indoor track and field, having earned USTFCCCA all-region honors in outdoor track and field in 2021.
Paulins, a freshman from Unicoi, Tenn., earned her spot on the all-region team at the conference championships, with a mark of 3.28 meters in the pole vault. The performance also won the conference championship, the first time in Tornado history that a pole vaulter has won the conference championship.
Both Tornado teams will open their outdoor season March 17-18 at the Trojan Opener, hosted by Anderson University.
