King wins Bluegrass Boost Battle Rocket League Tournament

BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University esports Rocket League team of Trevor Henk, Storm Major, Will Leenen, Andrew Wade won the Bluegrass Boost Battle Rocket League tournament hosted by the University of Kentucky over the weekend. The Tornado went 6-0 on the day and only dropped one game in four best-of-five series and two best-of-seven series.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Tornado opened with a 3-1 win over Purdue University.
  • King then took three straight 3-0 wins over Kentucky, UAB, and the University of Cincinnati.
  • In the semifinals, the Tornado top the University of Alabama at Huntsville 4-0.
  • In the final, King knocked off Northern Kentucky University 4-0 to take the title. All four matches in the final were decided by one point, including two overtime matches.
UP NEXT
  • The Tornado are back in action on Monday night in a National Association of College Esports (NACE) match at 7:00 p.m.
