SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The King University men's swimming team won their first Conference Carolinas dual of the season Wednesday night, 162-90 over Converse University.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The 200 yard medley relay team consisting of Jean Ducastel, Taylor Apps, Jack McDaniel and Judson Stanford started the day off with a win, combining for a time of 1:40.65, nearly 15 seconds ahead of Converse.
- In the 1000 yard freestyle, Sam Osowiecki brought home a win, touching the wall in 10:46.34.
- Efe Ertuzun swam to a win in the 200 yard freestyle, finishing in 1:46.79, with Apps taking third in a time of 1:57.80.
- The Tornado swept the top-three positions in the 50 yard backstroke, with Ducastel taking the win with a time of 25.12 seconds. Finishing second was Osowiecki, who was barley ahead of Stanford, who was third.
- Carson Eliasen won the 50 yard breaststroke, touching the wall in 27.78 seconds, a season-best that narrowly edged out second place.
- Jacob Sell touched the wall in a personal best 53.19 seconds to win, with McDaniel finishing third. He also won the 50 yard butterfly with a personal record time of 24.35 seconds.
- Ertuzun and Sell finished first and second in the 100 yard freestyle, with Ertuzun coming in with a winning time of 48.73 seconds, with Sell touching the wall in 49.63 seconds.
- Ducastel won his second event of the night in the 100 yard backstroke, finishing in 53.36 seconds to beat Osowiecki, who was second with a time of 58.17 seconds. Ducastel also won in the 500 yard freestyle with a time of 5:01.05.
- Eliasen picked up his third win of the night in the 100 yard breaststroke, finishing in 1:01.98.
- Ertuzun swam the 100 yard individual medley in 54.21 seconds to take the win.
- The 200 yard freestyle relay team consisting of Osowiecki, Ertuzun, Eliasen and Sell closed the night with a win, combining for a time of 1:30.34.

- King will swim at Lenoir-Rhyne Saturday afternoon, with the event scheduled for a 2 p.m. start
- Converse will swim at Barton College Oct. 28.
