BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University men's swimming and diving team picked up their first win of the season Friday night, topping Emory & Henry 123-73 on senior night.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The 200 yard medley relay team consisting of Sam Osowiecki, Kessler Dayton, Haakon Meyer and Luke Hunt opened the meet with a win, totaling a time of 1:39.78.
- Osowiecki then won the 1000 yard freestyle, with a time of 10:30.58 to win by over 45 seconds.
- In the 200 yard freestyle, the Tornado swept the top three spots, with Jan Kuljak winning in 1:47.59. Taylor Apps finished second with a time of 1:54.23 while Caelan Sutton came third with a time of 1:57.21.
- Dale Bruce picked up a win in the 200 yard IM, touching the wall in 2:01.65. Coming in second was Gideon Bezuidenhout, who finished in 2:03.57.
- Bruce earned his second win of the night in the 100 yard fly, touching the wall in 53.57 seconds, with Dayton coming second at 55.13 seconds.
- Bezuidenhout finished the 500 yard freestyle in 5:10.00, picking up another win for the Tornado.
- In the 100 yard breaststroke, the Tornado again swept the top three spots, with Dayton winning in 1:00.69. Carson Eliasen came second with a time of 1:03.89, with Apps taking third in 1:04.84.
- The Tornado closed the night with another relay win, this one in the 200 yard freestyle relay, where Kuljak, Osowiecki, Bezuidenhout and Bruce teamed up to finish in 1:28.43, winning by nearly 20 seconds.
UP NEXT
- The Tornado will swim in a tri-meet on Jan. 28, taking on Mars Hill and Lees-McRae. The event will be hosted by Mars Hill.
- This was the final event of the regular season for the Wasps, who will be back in action Feb. 8-11 at the South Atlantic Conference Championships.
