BRISTOL, Tenn. – Following her first career meet,
Madeline Robison has been selected National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Association (NCATA) Freshman of the Week. She competed in 13 heats as the 10th-ranked Tornado defeated Lander University in their season-opener.
Robison did nearly everything for the Tornado as she helped King open up a lead with a solid compulsory event. She then competed in all three pyramid heats, the Tornado scored well on each, including a 9.85 out of a possible 10.00 in heat three. In her solo tumbling pass, she scored 9.000 out of 9.50 in the six-element pass.
Hannah O'Dea and
Alexis Wynn also garnered honorable mention recognition for the Tornado. O'Dea was honorable mention NCATA Athlete of the Week and Wynn was honorable mention NCATA Specialist of the Week. O'Dea competed in 10 heats for the Tornado and Wynn had a solid acro event I the opening meet.
King is scheduled to be in action again on Saturday at Conference Carolinas foe Chowan University. The meet is scheduled to start at 7:00 p.m.
