BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University men's volleyball team won their second straight match to open Conference Carolinas play. The Tornado topped Erskine College 3-0 on Friday night behind 15 kills from
Suetonius Harris.

HOW IT HAPPENED
First Set
- Erskine held the advantage in the early going until a 4-0 King run put the Tornado ahead 7-5.
- The run included three straight kills from Diego Marcano, Jackson Carroll and Jack Sarnowski before a block from Sarnowski and Milstead ended the run.
- The teams then traded points until late in the set when King began to pull away.
- The Tornado went on a 4-1 run as a Harris kill gave King a 19-16 lead.
- King then outscored the Flying Fleet 6-3 to take the set 25-20.
Second Set
- King gained separation with six straight points, started by a Milstead kill as the Tornado took a 10-4 advantage.
- King later scored five straight points, highlighted by kills from Kellan Kennedy and Carroll to take an 18-9 lead.
- The Tornado closed the set on a 4-1 run, taking the set 25-15.
Third Set
- King tried to pull away with a 5-1 run that was highlighted by three straight points. Harris, Marcano and Kennedy accounted for terminations on the run.
- The Tornado put the set out of reach with five consecutive points with Kennedy at the service line.
- He served up a pair of aces after a block from Kennedy and Harris started the spurt that gave King a 16-9 lead.
- Carroll came up with a kill before a Sarnowski ace gave King the set to King 25-15 and the match 3-0.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Harris set a season-high with 15 kills and a .519 attack percentage. He only made on error on 27 attempts. Harris added five digs and one block.
- Marcano followed with 10 kills and four digs.
- Carroll chipped in with seven kills and a match-high 10 digs.
- Sarnowski handed out 36 assists.
FOR THE FOES
- Jason Sall and Edgerrin Austin led the Flying Fleet with seven kills each. Sall added seven digs.
- Juan Alcoba posted 25 assists and a team-high eight digs.

- King hosts Emmanuel College on Saturday at 2:00 p.m.
- Erskine travels to Lees-McRae College on Saturday.
