BANNER ELK, N.C. – The King University men's soccer team dropped their Conference Carolinas match to Lees-McRae Wednesday night, 3-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Kenneth Walton recorded the first shot on goal of the match in the 10th minute.
- Two minutes later, Douglas Alves took a shot on goal as well.
- After receiving a free kick in the 29th minute, the Bobcats scored to take a 1-0 lead.
- Three minutes later Lees-McRae added a second goal.
- Jack Hyatt made a pair of saves in the final minute, keeping score 2-0 heading into halftime.
- Just seven minutes into the second half, the Tornado went on the attack, taking two shots within 20 seconds, but were unable to convert.
- In the 57th minute, Pedro Herrera recorded his second shot of the night, but it was blocked.
- Riley Moore added a shot on goal off a free kick but couldn't find the back of the net.
- The Bobcats scored their third goal in the 83rd minute, hanging on for a 3-0 win.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Walton led the Tornado, recording six shots, two of which were on goal.
- Alves added a pair of shots on goal as well.
- Jack Hyatt made eight saves.
FOR THE FOES
- Gray Smith, Harrison Watts and Laurin Boettcher all had goals for the Bobcats, with Watts recording five shots on goal.
- Joshua Garvilla made five saves on the night.
