MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The King University men's swimming team pieced together an impressive outing on Saturday at Chowan University. The Tornado came away with a 113-72 victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Tornado started off the day with a solid performance from the 200 meter medley relay team. The quartet of Maximillian Thomas, Carson Eliasen, Dale Bruce and Haakon Meyer won the event with a time of 1:49.86.
- King took first and second in the men's 200 meter freestyle via Jan Kuljak and Gideon Bezuidenhout, posting times of 1:58.06 and 1:58.09 respectively.
- Meyer posted a time of 25.27 seconds in the 50 meter freestyle as he picked up his second event win of the day. Ben Ramirez finished fifth in the same event, posting a time of 28.17 seconds.
- Bruce also picked up a second victory on the day, taking the 200 meter individual medley with a time of 2:13.28. Radu Magdas was not far behind as he posted a time of 2:21.06 to place third.
- Bezuidenhout picked up an event win in the 100 meter butterfly, completing the race with a time of 59.80 seconds.
- Meyer continued to impress as he also took first in the 100 meter freestyle, posting a final time of 54.66 seconds.
- Thomas captured his second event win of the day in the 100 meter backstroke, touching the wall in a time of 1:02.65.
- Kuljak also captured first in the 400 meter freestyle, finishing the event with a time of 4:11.76.
- Bruce posted a time of 1:08.33 in the 100 meter backstroke to bring home first place.
- King ended the day just like they started it. The Tornado picked up an event win in the 400 meter freestyle relay thanks to Bezuidenhout, Magdas, Thomas and Kuljak. The quartet finished with a time of 3:38.44.

- The Tornado took first in 10 of the 11 events they competed in today.
