King finishes 11th at VertCross Invite

KERNERSVILLE, N.C. – The King University women's cross country team finished 11th at the VertCross Invitational and were led by Kirstin Barton on Friday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Barton finished 64th with a time of 24:31.37.
  • Kaitlin Rivera came in next at 24:48.76.
  • Crossing the finish line next was Katy Neubert with a time of 25:08.80.
  • Rebekah Thomas wasn't far behind at 25:25.69.
  • Meg Davis covered the course in 25:51.48.
  • Coming in next for the Tornado was Brianna Barrett with a time of 27:27.58.
  • Andrea Stansberry rounded out the team with a time of 33:13.27.

FOR THE FOES

  • High Point University won the team title while Famke Heinst took the individual title with a time 21:12.73.

  • King runs again on October 26 at the Conference Carolinas Championships in Mount Olive, N.C.
