Ermay Vazquez Adame was named the Conference Carolinas Female Runner of the Week. It's her first award this season.
Vazquez Adame led the Tornado at the Queen City Invitational on Saturday with a time of 19:30 in the 5K, finishing 77th of 228 runners. In just the second half of the race alone, she passed 24 other runners.
She, and the rest of the King University women's cross country team, will be back in action on Friday, September 26 at Steele Creek Park in Bristol, Tenn. for the Eli Cramer 5K hosted by Milligan University.
