Greenville, S.C. — On the eve of the first-ever Conference Carolinas Women's Flag Football Championship, the league announced its inaugural all-conference awards — and King University made an immediate impact on the conference landscape. Freshman standout Alyssa Ramos earned Conference Carolinas Freshman of the Year, while the Tornado placed multiple players on the All-Conference First and Second Teams in a landmark moment for the program.
The awards were selected by the league's head coaches and highlight the top performers from the 2026 regular season.
Ramos Earns Freshman of the Year After Two-Way Dominance
King's Alyssa Ramos delivered one of the most complete freshman seasons in the nation, earning her the title of Conference Carolinas Freshman of the Year.
Ramos showcased elite production on both sides of the ball:
- 115 receptions for 887 yards (7.7 yards per catch)
- Four receiving touchdowns, including a long of 41 yards
- 59 solo tackles, four assisted tackles
- Seven tackles for loss, including two sacks
- 10 interceptions and 11 pass breakups
Her combination of volume, versatility, and playmaking made her one of the most impactful newcomers in the conference.
King Places Three on All-Conference First Team
King University earned three First Team All-Conference selections, led by Ramos, who was honored at two positions.
