Spartanburg, S.C. – King University women's golf completed the second round of the Conference Carolinas Championship on Monday, April 13, at Carolina Country Club, remaining in 12
th place with a two-day total of 713 (+137). The Tornado improved from their opening round and continued to fight throughout the field despite challenging conditions.
Leading the way for King was
Kate Watanasiripong, who delivered a consistent round of 78 (+6). She recorded multiple steady holes throughout the day and sits at +19 overall, continuing to pace the Tornado through two rounds. Tuesday's final round will mark the final time Watanasiripong competes as a Tornado, closing out a strong collegiate career.
Gloria Capo posted an 88 in round two, highlighted by a stretch of steady play on the back nine. She enters the final round at +31 overall.
Carolina Calzada turned in a 93 on Monday, showing resilience across the round and battling through tough holes to finish at +43 overall heading into the final day.
Joanna Stevens carded a 94 in the second round and stands at +44 overall. As a senior, Stevens will also take the course for the final time as a Tornado on Tuesday, looking to cap off her career with a strong closing round. Â
