Fall in Doubleheader on the Road Against Mount Olive

The Tornado fell in two games for their doubleheader games on the road to Mount Olive

Mount Olive, N.C. The King University Softball team played a doubleheader on the road against Mount Olive, falling in both games. King fell the first game 5-1 with a late push by them and fell 2-0 with a strong defense.
 
Game One:
 
In the first game, Mount Olive got the first run on the board during the first inning. It would take till the sixth for any team to score. After that, Mount Olive would score their final four runs to make it five in the first game. The Tornado was able to score one run in the first game during the seventh inning by Bradlie Warner from a hit by Giana Winge.
 
On the mound for King was Kaylee Meeks, who threw eight hits with two strikeouts.  
 
Batting:
Savana Luper was able to get two hits in three at-bats.
Winge got one hit, which was a double.
Katie Ryan had a hit and a walk during her batting in game one.
 
Game Two:
 
In the second game, King had a strong defense through the seven innings, only allowing five hits. During those five hits, Mount Olive was able to score two runs, one in the first and one in the fourth. King would fall 2-0 while only getting two hits through the game.
 
Riley Lamb threw an impressive five strikeouts and only allowed five hits. 
 
Batting:
Carlie Sheets and Ryan each had one hit.
 
 
Up Next: The Tornado will stay on the road heading to Chowan for a doubleheader starting at 1:00 pm.
