BRISTOL, Tenn. – King University is proud to announce that Aubrey King, Giana Winge, Kathryn Ryan, and Aviah Bunsic have been named to the 2026 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® Softball Team, recognizing their excellence both in the classroom and on the field.
The announcement was part of a conference-wide release on Tuesday, as Conference Carolinas placed 44 student-athletes from 11 institutions on this year's Academic All-District® list. King joins Barton, Belmont Abbey, Chowan, Converse, Ferrum, Francis Marion, Mount Olive, UNC Pembroke, Southern Wesleyan, and Young Harris in celebrating honorees across the league.
A Prestigious Academic Honor
The Academic All-District® program, selected by College Sports Communicators, honors the nation's top student-athletes for their combined academic and athletic performance. The recognition is one of the most respected academic awards in collegiate athletics and serves as the first step toward potential Academic All-America® distinction.
Honorees who earn Academic All-District® status are automatically considered for the CSC Academic All-America® ballot, where first-, second-, and third-team selections will be announced on June 16. The Academic All-America® program recognizes student-athletes across four divisions: NCAA Division I, Division II, Division III, and NAIA.
The Division II and III Academic All-America® programs receive partial financial support from their respective NCAA governance structures to assist CSC with awards fulfillment. The NAIA governance structure provides similar support for the NAIA program.
