HARROGATE, Tenn. — King University softball delivered its most complete day of the young season on Wednesday, sweeping Lincoln Memorial with back-to-back shutouts powered by elite pitching, disciplined at-bats, and airtight defense. The Tornado improved to 6–2 with wins of 2–0 and 3–0, extending their streak of scoreless innings to 14 and continuing to showcase one of the region's toughest pitching duos.
GAME ONE: King 2, Lincoln Memorial 0
Meeks Stays Perfect, Tornado Strike Early
King wasted no time seizing control of the opener, plating two runs in the first inning and letting ace Kaylee Meeks do the rest.
The Tornado loaded the bases immediately, and Giana Winge crossed the plate on a bases-loaded walk drawn by Aubrey King. Moments later, Aviah Bunsic added an RBI groundout to bring home Sophia Waters, giving King a 2–0 cushion before Lincoln Memorial recorded an out.
That was all Meeks needed.
Meeks Masterful Again
The sophomore right-hander improved to 4–0, firing a seven-hit shutout with five strikeouts and just two walks. Meeks faced 30 batters, induced 12 flyouts, and stranded nine Railsplitters, refusing to allow a single run despite constant traffic on the bases.
Her efficiency and poise were on full display, needing just 103 pitches to complete her fourth straight win.
Offensive Highlights
King played error-free defense and turned a key double play to help Meeks escape a mid-game threat.
GAME TWO: King 3, Lincoln Memorial 0
Luper Dominates as Tornado Complete the Sweep
If Game One belonged to Meeks, Game Two was all Savana Luper.
The sophomore right-hander delivered her sharpest outing of the season, spinning a three-hit shutout with 10 strikeouts and just one walk. Luper overwhelmed Lincoln Memorial with late movement and pinpoint command, retiring 10 hitters on the ground and allowing only two runners to reach scoring position.
She improved to 2–1 with the win and needed just 109 pitches to finish the job.
Balanced, Relentless Offense
King's lineup attacked from all angles, racking up 13 hits and scoring in three separate innings.
The Tornado never looked back.

- 18 total hits
- Only one defensive error
