GREENVILLE, SC. – The King University men's cross country team competed in the Bruins Night XC Classic on Friday, September 5th, running a 6k distance.
THE BASICS
FINAL SCORE: Men – 4th out of 14

HOW IT HAPPENED – MEN
- The men were led by junior, Lance Hatcher, who placed 4th overall with a time of 19:44 for the 6k distance and sophomore, Cole Johnson, who finished 8th overall with a time of 19:50.
- Junior, Evan Deichert, narrowly missed the top 20 and completed the 6k course in 20:36 to finish in 21st place.
- Even though the race was a 6k distance, there were numerous Tornado men who set a personal best through the common 5k distance. Johnson came through the 5k point in 16:31 and still had 1k to go (previous 5k PR was 16:46), freshmen Joshua Hathaway came through the 5k point in 17:26 (previous 5k PR was 17:29), and junior Luke Childress crossed the 5k mark in 17:55 (previous 5k PR was 18:19).

th to compete at the Queen City Invite hosted by Queens University at Mcalpine Creek Park.
