King University Cross Country Earns USTFCCCA Academic Honors

King University celebrated a strong academic showing as the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced its All-Academic awards for the fall 2025 season. The Tornado were recognized both as a team and through an individual standout, underscoring the program’s commitment to excellence in the classroom as well as in competition.

The Tornado were recognized both as a team and through an individual standout, underscoring the program's commitment to excellence in the classroom as well as in competition.

King Men Earn All-Academic Team Distinction

The King University men's cross country team earned USTFCCCA All-Academic Team honors after meeting the association's rigorous criteria. Programs must hold a cumulative team GPA of at least 3.0 and record a team score at their NCAA regional championship meet. King's achievement reflects the discipline and academic dedication of its student-athletes throughout the season.

Ermay Vazquez Named USTFCCCA All-Academic Athlete

On the women's side, Ermay Vazquez earned individual All-Academic recognition from the USTFCCCA. To qualify, student-athletes must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25 and finish in the top 30 percent of their regional championship race. Vazquez's honor highlights her impressive balance of academic performance and competitive success.

King University's dual recognition showcases the strength of its cross country program and the commitment of its athletes to achieving at a high level in every arena.
