BRISTOL, Tenn. –
Jordan Keith and
Zach Stroin of the King University men's track and field team, as well as
Ermay Vazquez Adame of the King University women's track and field team, were named College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Tuesday afternoon.
Keith, a graduate student from Laurel Bloomery, Tenn., won the mile at the Bast-Cregger Multi Invitational at the start of the indoor season, also finishing second in the 5,000 meters at the meet. At the Conference Carolinas outdoor championships, Keith was 14th in the 10,000 meters with a season-best time of 24:45.74. This is the second straight year that Keith was named CSC Academic All-District,
Stroin, a junior from Lanoka Harbor, N.J., finished fourth in the javelin at the Conference Carolinas outdoor championships, with a season-best mark of 51.41 meters. He also won the javelin at the King University Invitational, with a second-place finish in the event at the Mountaineer First Chance meet.
Vazquez Adame, a sophomore from Commerce, Ga., won the Conference Carolinas outdoor track and field title in the 800 meters with a time of 2:21.97. She had four personal-best marks during the outdoor season, including winning the 3,000 meters at the King University Invitational, also grabbing a second-place finish in the 5,000 meters. Two weeks later, she won the 1500 meters at the Dennis Craddock Coaches Classic.
