JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. – The King University softball team finished the Big Region Preseason Invitational with two games on Sunday. The Tornado fell to Carson-Newman before being defeated by Tusculum.

HOW IT HAPPENED – GAME ONE
- King scored first in the bottom of the first inning as Jessica Campbell scored.
- Carson-Newman put two runs on the board on a double to left center field in the top of the third.
- The Eagles added nine runs in the fourth inning.
- The Tornado scored Olesia Walch as Campbell doubled to right in the bottom of the fifth.

HOW IT HAPPENED – GAME TWO
- Tusculum scored 5 runs in the first inning, helped with a two-out grand slam.
- The Pioneers added single runs in the third and sixth inning before scoring 6 runs on 6 hits in the top of the seventh inning.
- King was unable to get the offense going, leaving six stranded on six hits.
KING HIGHLIGHTS – GAME TWO
- Alena Demakas had two hits – one to open the third inning and a two-out single on the right side in the fifth.
- Bradlie Warner got a bunt down the third base line for her only hit.
