King Swimming Displays Grit and Depth in Dual Meet at Milligan

King University Swimming made a strong statement in their dual meet against Milligan University on Saturday, combining standout individual performances with impressive team depth in this early-season test.

Milligan College, TN – King University Swimming made a strong statement in their dual meet against Milligan University on Saturday, combining standout individual performances with impressive team depth in this early-season test.
Leading the way for the Tornado was sprinter Cristobal Amiel Buchholtz, who claimed victories in both the 50 Freestyle (23.32) and 100 Freestyle (51.73), registering some of the fastest times of the day. Buchholtz also anchored King's relay teams, delivering a powerful finish that energized the men's squad.
On the women's side, Katie Koenst shone with a dominant win in the 100 Breaststroke (1:17.61) and a first-place finish in the 200 Individual Medley (2:36.46). Cassie Lowe contributed valuable points, finishing second in the 200 Freestyle (2:14.85) and earning a thrilling third in the 400 Freestyle (4:46.68), where less than two-tenths of a second separated the top three swimmers.
Both the men's and women's relay teams demonstrated early-season chemistry, each securing top-three finishes and underscoring the program's depth across multiple events.
Looking ahead, King Swimming will return to competition next month, aiming to build on the momentum and determination displayed at Milligan.
