BRISTOL, Tenn. –
Gauthier Lumale of the King University men's soccer team was named the Conference Carolinas men's soccer defender of the week after recording a shutout victory Saturday over Tusculum.
Lumale, a senior from Biscarrosse, France, recorded his second career shutout Saturday, making five saves in a 2-0 win over Tusculum. Making his season debut, Lumale stopped all five shots he saw as the Tornado earned their first win of the season.
It was the second career shutout for Lumale, and his first since Sept. 234, 2023 when he shut out Carolina University.
The Tornado will host Young Harris on Saturday afternoon in their home opener. Kickoff from Parks Field is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
