Åasmund Norum of the King University men's golf team was named first team All-Conference Carolinas on Monday afternoon. This is the second consecutive season he has earned first team all-conference honors, and the third time in his career he has been named to the all-conference teams.
Norum, a junior from Inderoy, Norway, competed in 23 rounds, with a stroke average of 72.13. He won the King University Invitational, carding a season-low 65 in the final round. It was one of five rounds on the season where he shot under a 70. He also had top-10 finishes at the Bob Dibble Intercollegiate and the Spring Bulldog Clash. He finished tied for 15th at the conference championships, with a three-day total of 225, including a final round 66, the lowest round of the final day.
