Snow Hill, N.C. – The King University men's golf team closed out the conference championship with a strong final round performance, finishing tied for third place alongside Mount Olive with a three-day total of 883 (+19). The Tornado posted a 292 (+4) team score on the final day, one of their most consistent rounds of the tournament, to climb the leaderboard and secure a podium finish.
Leading the way for King was
Nathan Hopley, who delivered the round of the day for the Tornado. Hopley fired a three-under 69 in the final round, highlighted by a steady front nine and a near-flawless back nine that featured multiple birdies. He finished the tournament at 221 (+5), capping off an impressive individual showing.
Carter Myers also turned in a strong performance to close the tournament, carding a one-under 71 on the final day. Myers finished at 220 (+4), demonstrating consistency throughout the week and providing a key boost to the team's final-round surge.
Vetle Saether added a 75 (+3) in the final round to finish at 223 (+7), while
Carles Calvo Molina posted a 77 (+5) to conclude his tournament at 224 (+8).
Garrett Wellman rounded out the scoring for King with a 77 (+5), finishing at 225 (+9 overall).
