MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. – The King University softball team dropped both ends of their Conference Carolinas doubleheader Monday at the University of Mount Olive, falling 5-4 in game one before dropping a 9-1 game two.

KING HIGHLIGHTS
- Alyssa Suits had a grand slam in game one, also drawing a walk.
- Katie Ryan had two hits on the day, scoring a run.
GAME ONE HIGHLIGHTS
- After three of the first four batters of the game reached base, Alyssa Suits delivered a grand slam to left center field, putting King in front 4-0 early.
- That was still the score in the bottom of the sixth, when the Trojans scored five runs, on a pair of home runs to take a 5-4 lead.
- Megan Dobrev started the seventh with a single, advancing to second on a sacrifice bunt by Bradlie Warner.
- Mount Olive was able to escape with the win, as a two-out strikeout was the end of the road for King, falling 5-4.

GAME TWO HIGHLIGHTS
- King struck first, as Tinsley Thompson singled to right field, allowing Lilly Million to score, putting King in the lead, 1-0.
- Mount Olive responded in the bottom, scoring a run to tie it before taking a lead in the fourth on a three-run triple, making it a 4-1 Trojans lead.
- After Mount Olive scored three runs in the fifth, they got a walk-off two-run home run in the sixth to win the game 9-1.
