Ryan Aliam scored early in the second half Wednesday night, as the King University men's soccer team picked up a 1-0 Conference Carolinas win over Belmont Abbey.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Gauthier Lumale made his first save of the night in the seventh minute, which would turn out to be his only save of the half, as the King defense didn't allow any further shots on goal.
- Aliam took the first shot on goal of the night for King in the 15th minute, which led to a King corner kick and shot on goal by Paul Ogunboye.
- Renan Caruso had a shot on goal in the 35th minute, which also led to a King corner kick.
- The Tornado broke through in the 54th minute, as Aliam scored an unassisted goal to put King in front, 1-0.
- In the 65th minute, Belmont Abbey took a shot on goal, which Lumale saved.
- Caruso took a pair of shots in the 70th minute, including one that was on goal, forcing the Belmont Abbey goalkeeper to make a save.
- After Caruso took another shot in the 80th minute, Belmont Abbey got a pair of shots, both of which were stopped by Lumale.
- The Crusaders got two corner kicks, and two shots in the final five minutes, but all of the shots were blocked, with the Tornado hanging on for a 1-0 victory.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- This was the second shutout of the season for Lumale, and the third in his Tornado career. He finished with five saves on the night.
- For Aliam, it was his first goal of the season.
FOR THE FOES
- Sam Jordan and Josh Ainge both had two shots on goal for the Crusaders.
