Justin Sawyer and
Andrew Haber of the King University men's volleyball team have been named the Conference Carolinas men's volleyball players of the week. Sawyer earned Offensive Player of the Week, with Haber being named Specialist of the Week.
Sawyer, a junior from Richmond, Va., played in three of the five sets against Tusculum, picking up a double-double with 12 kills and 10 digs. A third-team All-Conference Carolinas selection from last season, this is his first career weekly honor from the conference office.
Haber, a sophomore from Whitby, Ontario, posted a season-best 50 assists, adding 11 digs for his first double-double as a Tornado. This is his first conference-level award as a Tornado.
King will be on the road for their next four matches, starting Friday when they play at McKendree University.
