EMORY, Va. – The King University men's swimming team split a pair of duals on Saturday at Emory & Henry College. The Tornado defeated the host Wasps 110-63 and fell to Mars Hill University 114-63.

HOW IT HAPPENED 
	- The Tornado opened with a second-place finish in the 200 meter medley relay as the group of Jean Ducastel, Carson Eliasen, Jacob Sell and Sam Osowiecki finished in 1:50.57.
 
	- Osowiecki then finished runner-up in the 400 meter freestyle with a time of 4:34.89.
 
	- In the 200 meter individual medley, Efe Ertuzun finished second with a time of 2:12.12 while Ducastel came in third with a time of 2:15.31.
 
	- Eliasen came in third in the 50 meter freestyle with a time of 25.67 seconds.
 
	- The Tornado finished second and third in the 100 meter butterfly as Sell came in runner-up with a time of 58.68 seconds and Jack McDaniel finished third in 1:03.76.
 
	- Ducastel won the 100 meter backstroke with a time of 59.32 seconds.
 
	- In the 100 meter freestyle, Osowiecki finished third with a time of 55.10 seconds while Gideon Bezuidenhout finished fourth with a time of 56.16 seconds.
 
	- King finished second and third in the 100 meter breaststroke as Eliasen came in second with a time of 1:09.11. McDaniel touched the wall in 1:11.01 to take third.
 
	- Sell won the 200 meter freestyle with a time of 1:58.11 while Ertuzun finished third with a time of 1:59.84.
 
	- The Tornado group of Bezuidenhout, Ertuzun, McDaniel and Colby Simone finished runner-up in the 200 meter freestyle relay with a time of 1:46.48.
 
UP NEXT
	- King returns to the pool on Saturday when they travel to Lees-McRae to face the Bobcats and Mars Hill.
 
	- Emory & Henry is in action again on January 27 at King and against Chowan University.
