Åasmund Norum of the King University men's golf team was named to the All-Conference Carolinas first team Monday afternoon, the second time in his career that he has earned all-conference honors.
Norum, a sophomore from Inderoy, Norway, led the Tornado this season, posting a stroke average of 73.96, the lowest on the team and seventh-lowest in Conference Carolinas. He finished tied for eighth at the King University Invitationl in September, marking his best finish of the season. At the Bearcat Classic in March, he finished at one-under 215, tied for his best 54-hole performance in his career.
He closed the season by shooting a 54-hole total of 231 at the Conference Carolinas championships, finishing tied for 16th, the highest-finishing Tornado. His lowest round came in the second round, where he shot even par 72.
