BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University men's and women's swimming teams were recognized when the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) announced a pair of academic awards. Both teams were selected as Scholar All-America teams.
Teams were selected on the basis of their spring 2022 grade point averages and represent 803 teams, 479 institutions and 19,426 student-athletes.
This is the 10th time that the women's program has earned this honor. Under first-year head coach Juan Somoza, the women posted a 3.56 team GPA in the spring.
For the men, the marks the sixth time they have won this award. In the spring, the men recorded a team GPA of 3.00.
