MARIETTA, Ga. – The second-ranked King University women's wrestling team crowned eight champions Saturday at Eagle Madness, hosted by Life University. The Tornado also had a handful of runner-up finishes on the afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- One of the Tornado champions was sixth-ranked Jessica Corredor, who went 4-0 at 101 pounds to claim the title, including wins over Devyn Gomez of Life University and teammate Mia Zuniga in the championship, a 10-0 tech fall win to claim the title.
- Zuniga opened her tournament with a win via pin before taking a 10-0 tech fall in the quarterfinals. She then won her semifinal match 11-8 to advance to the championship bout.
- After getting a first round bye, Danielle Garcia didn't allow a single point on the day, winning the title at 109 pounds with a pin of Elizabeth Dosado of the University of the Cumberlands in the championship bout.
- At 116 pounds, fourth-ranked Melanie Mendoza and third-ranked Samara Chavez were crowned co-champions, with Mendoza winning all four of her matches, two of which were tech fall wins before winning 12-1 in the semifinals over Ariana Martinez of Life University.
- Chavez was also 4-0 on the day, with two wins via fall before winning a 12-6 decision over Karissa Turnwall of Emmanuel College in her semifinal match.
- No. 4 Montana DeLawder won the title at 123 pounds, pinning her first two opponents before winning a 10-0 tech fall in the semifinals. Her finals opponent was Virginia Foard, whom she defeated 8-4 to claim the title.
- Foard had three wins via tech fall, including a 13-0 victory in the semifinals over Jordyn Chrisco of Life. Her two other tech fall wins were both 10-0 scores, defeating Minot State University's Arianne Korish and Emory & Henry College's Madison Wilson.
- At 130 pounds, Anna DiCugno went 5-0 on the day, with four wins via fall. After pinning Tonya Flourney of St. Andrews in the semifinals, she won 12-1 over Kathleen Fisher of Brewton Parker College to claim the championship.
- Claire DiCugno also took home a title, going 4-0 at 136 pounds. After winning her opening match over Marissa Delacruz of Montreat College, she won her next three matches by matching 10-0 scores, including a championship win over Misplay Hailie of Greensboro College.
- Top-ranked Chey Bowman was the 155 pound champion, with two wins by tech fall and a pair of wins via pin. She didn't allow a single point until the championship, where she won 12-1 over Katie Mulkay to take the championship.
- At 170 pounds, it was second-ranked Tiffani Baublitz who was crowned the champion, winning her first three matches via tech fall before pinning Margaret Graham of Life University in 2:30 to take the title.
- Alexa Garcia was the final champion of the day for the Tornado, pinning her first three opponents at 191 pounds before winning a 6-2 decision over Vianne Rouleau from the University of Alberta to win the title.

- A handful of Tornado will compete next weekend at the Bill Ferrell Memorial International tournament in New York City, while the team will return to collegiate action Dec. 10 when they compete at the Mount Olive duals.
