MARS HILL, N.C. – The King University men's swimming team dropped a pair of meets on Saturday at Mars Hill University. The Tornado fell to the host Lions 129-116 and Lees-McRae College 187-61.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Tornado started with a third-place finish in the 200 yard medley relay as the group of Sam Osowiecki, Carson Eliasen, Dale Bruce and Luke Hunt finished in 1:40.37.
- Jan Kuljak finished third in the 1000 yard freestyle with a time of 10:31.92.
- In the 200 yard freestyle, Gideon Bezuidenhout finished third in 1:50.14 while Osowiecki touched the wall in 1:51.88 to take fourth.
- Caelan Sutton came in sixth with a time of 1:56.05.
- Kuljak finished third in the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 55.16 seconds while Haakon Meyer came in with a time of 58.16 seconds.
- In the 100 yard breaststroke, Kessler Dayton touched the all in 59.52 seconds to finish runner-up.
- Eliason finished in 1:02.01 while Taylor Apps touched the wall in 1:08.03.
- In the 50 yard freestyle, Bruce finished third in 22.24 seconds while Meyer came in fourth at 23.52 seconds.
- Kuljak finished runner-up in the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 48.48 seconds.
- Bezuidenhout touched the wall in 51.09 seconds to finish fifth.
- In the 200 yard backstroke, Osowiecki finished in 2:07.72 to take fourth.
- Bruce led a trio of Tornado in the 200 yard breaststroke, taking third in 2:14.98.
- Dayton touched the wall in 2:18.97 while Eliasen came in at 2:19.38.
- Apps finished fifth in the 500 yard freestyle with a time of 5:16.21.
- Meyer finished third in the 100 yard butterfly with a time of 57.46 seconds while Sutton touched the wall in 59.35 seconds.
- In the 100 yard individual medley, Bruce came in fourth at 2:09.37 while Bezuidenhout finished sixth in 2:11.55.
- The Tornado group of Kuljak, Osowiecki, Dayton and Bezuidenhout finished third in the 400 yard freestyle relay with a time of 3:15.34.
- In the same event, the quartet of Sutton, Meyer, Apps and Hunt finished in 3:30.01.

- King swims in their final regular season meet of the season on Saturday at Tennessee High School when they host UNC Pembroke at 2:00 p.m.
- Mars Hill is in action again on February 8-11 at the South Atlantic Conference Championships.
