Katie Harless of the King University women's volleyball team has been selected as the Conference Carolinas Specialist of the Week after her performances against Bluefield State and Emory & Henry. This is the first weekly honor of her career.
A junior from Abingdon, Va., Harless averaged 10.00 assists and 3.75 digs per set. She started the week by posting 42 assists and three service aces in a 3-1 win over Bluefield State before recording 38 assists and 19 digs Saturday in a win over Emory & Henry.
The Tornado are back on the court for three matches this week, starting Wednesday night when they open Conference Carolinas action at Erskine. King will also face Lees-McRae Friday night before hosting Southern Wesleyan Saturday afternoon.
